Veronica is a Controller with 20 years of experience in both public and industry accounting. She is the Flipkart Group Controller and is based in Bangalore, India, responsible for accounting, reporting, internal controls, shared services, and internal audit for the Flipkart Group, supporting the CEO, CFO, various members of Flipkart’s Executive Leadership and Board of Directors. She has extensive experience working with companies on the application of US and IFRS accounting standards, internal controls, SEC reporting rules and assessing accounting considerations for various business transactions. Prior to her current role, Veronica was the Sam’s Club Segment Controller, based in Bentonville, Arkansas, responsible for accounting, reporting and internal controls for the Sam's Club segment with annual revenue of $84bln, supporting the Sam's Club CEO, CFO and Sam's Executive Leadership Committee. She was also the Corporate Function Controller for Walmart Inc.’s Global Controllership Organization, providing technical and management accounting support for business partners in Global Technology, Global People, Global Governance, Corporate Affairs, Corporate Finance, Tax, Treasury and Global Sourcing, amounting to approximately $9bln in annual costs for WMT Inc., and she was also a Director on the Global Technical Accounting team, advising business partners on Merger & Acquisition activities with deal values ranging from $15M - $1.3bln. Prior to joining Walmart, Veronica worked at PwC for over 13 years, performing financial statement audits for clients in the Energy industry in Chicago, Houston, New Jersey and Lagos, Nigeria. Veronica also completed a tour in PwC’s National Quality Organization in the SEC services group. Veronica holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign, and a Masters of Accounting degree from Governors State University, University Park, IL. Veronica and her husband Patrick have two boys, Mikah (11 years old) and Malakai (2 years old).
