As Deputy Editor of the Financial Times, Roula provides strategic direction for the FT’s editorial coverage and its large global network of foreign correspondents. Prior to this role, she served as the FT’s Foreign Editor and Assistant Editor, responsible for overseeing the FT’s editorial coverage of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. As the FT’s Middle East Editor, she led the coverage of the Arab Spring. Her specialist areas are Iraq; the Gulf; North Africa and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
