Ed Williams is Vice Chairman of Edelman Europe and CEO of Edelman’s UK and Ireland business. He devises strategies for senior executives that build trust through corporate reputation. Before joining the firm in 2011, he oversaw corporate affairs for two global media companies: the BBC and Reuters. His time advising BBC director-general Mark Thompson and Reuters CEO Tom Glocer gave him a deep understanding of the pressures of executives and companies in the public spotlight. Prior to that, he advised General Wesley Clark during his evidence giving at the Milosevic trial at the Hague and was a consultant speech writer to Gordon Brown. Ed serves on a number of boards, including the Royal College of Art, the Woolf Institute in Cambridge and International Crisis Group’s Advisory Council. A graduate of Harvard Business School’s AMP programme, he started his career in newspaper and television journalism.
