Annu Nieminen is the founder and CEO of The Upright Project, a Helsinki-based company building a new type of AI-enabled quantification model for net impact of companies. Their mission is to incentivize companies to optimize their net impact. Upright is teaching a neural network to read causalities in scientific papers and summarize the findings in simple net impact profiles for all products currently traded in the global markets. The aim is to enable smarter and more conscious decision-making for consumers, employees and investors. Before founding Upright, Nieminen was CEO of Growth Collective Finland, a community of 200 mid-sized growth-ambitious companies, and a consultant at McKinsey & Company.
