WOF Summit Part of Week of Women

In 2016 the Women of the Future Programme worked alongside the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and Wilton Park to support a number of initiatives during a “Week of Women” from 13-18 November 2016. A series of events were hosted, for our international delegates. Events bought together future women leaders, from across the world.

November 13-15: Wilton Park conference

Promoting female participation in business and political life, this event took a closer look at how to collect and use data that underpins the premise that economies and nations cannot grow or engage with the world if half their population is excluded from full economic, political and societal participation.

A handpicked selection of international participants at the round table dialogue examined how to bring the global network of activism and policy/legislative change together and developed strategies for businesses to engage with men and women at all stages of their careers.

I totally enjoyed the Women of the Future events and it's definitely going to be a highlight of my year here in the UK.

Meng Jiang Chevening, Scholar China

The Women Summit is truly amazing event where I was inspired by the top leaders around the worlds and their ideals of being future leaders. Thanks to the Summit I have gained more confidence to be myself, to dare to accept failure, and grasp handy tips to be good leaders.

Huyen Nguyen Chevening, Scholar Vietnam

As a future women leader myself, it is absolutely inspirational to hear so many leaders - regardless of gender - on their often difficult but worthwhile journey in making a difference.

Huey Y. Yoong Chevening, Scholar

It was a wonderful experience interacting with ladies from other countries having one purpose of making a difference in business, corporations and communities. I am very inspired to do good and be a great leader.
